History

The first of its kind in Turkey, the Turf Application and Research Centre of Ege University was established on 12 November 2018 with the purpose of improving and developing turf surfaces and facilities in Turkey. The centre will carry out its research and application studies on 34.000 square metres of first grade agricultural land in Buruncuk, allocated by Bayındır Municipality.
